(NCBA) is one of the country’s oldest organizations dedicated to aging issues and the only national organization devoted to minority and low-income aging. NCBA has helped protect and improve the quality of life for older adults making certain that legislators, policy makers, philanthropists, advocacy groups, service organizations, thought leaders, and the public at-large include minority seniors in their programs, policy- and law-making, and giving.
National Association of Hispanic Nurses
NAHN chapters organize and promote annual health fairs at local schools and churches, spreading “buena salud” (good health) among local underserved communities. NAHN’s national virtual learning experiences for nurses, students, and medical professionals are one of the many ways vaccine and antiviral education and dissemination takes place, empowering members with up to date information and resources.
USA Boxing
As part of its mission, USA Boxing educates boxers, their families, and spectators on the importance of staying healthy in and out of the ring by providing access to vaccine education during local, regional and national events. Among their efforts, the “Coaching You Up” campaign provided attendees and participants educational materials in English and Spanish, vaccine clinics, and the opportunity to talk to healthcare providers and pharmacists about the benefits and protection vaccines can offer as well as help address misinformation among the boxing and local communities.
